Cabinet Almost Completed.

As most hobby projects it takes time and this project is no exception. But I can say that we have almost completed the timber shell for the cabinet and here are some pictures so you can see what has been done.

A piano hinge has been used with the lid for the console. The computer keyboard/mouse can be placed in here. It will also make it easy to work on any wires under the console.

A small hinged door will allow for access into the cabinet. Having the cabinet completely closed should reduce dust a bit, but also creates more heat. I will put vent holes in the back and maybe a fan.

Today I bought the wood I need for the cabinet. I am more or less following the same plan as this one from this website as I like the look of the 2 player upright cabinet. Of course I will change it to my liking, but the shape will be very similar.

I purchased 4 x 1800 x 595 PB White Pynepanel from Masters and it cost me $74.12 in total.

The same as this but only 1800 long.

I will keep posting my progress and keep a track of the cost.
